Hi Janete,

thank you for your quick response! In the meantime I (finally) found out how to do it right... I just always dragged the gradient right across a layer (it got rasterized) when in fact I should have added a new "Fill Layer" of type "Gradient". Now it works :-) And it's awesome - the whole Photoshop-Import and then "Make Into Control..." - although it's all "just" template editing features, it's simply amazing!

You guys are doing a phenomenal job!

All the best,
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

Are you setting the layer options to import as editable? To do this select the layer (all layers except images will have options listed below the layer list) then you can set select the radio button to import as editable. If the layer options do not appear for you can you send me the file so I can take a look or an example of how you are creating the gradient?

Cheers!
Janete

I'm trying to import a gradient from photoshop to expression blend 3 but always end up with a rasterized version - so the gradient is imported as image.

With Illustrator it's working fine... would you be so kind to explain how to create the gradient in photoshop in order to be able to use the gradient tool in blend to modify it after importing?

Is Photoshop CS3 even suited for this task?

Many thanks in advance!
